Retired Pastor moves South must make a living.
| |
Three years ago I moved to Kerrville, TX after 36 years as a pastor in Wisconsin. I bought a gun blueing business from a person who had spent 10 years developing a style of blue which looked like the factory blue particularly on the high grade European shotguns. Fine quaility rifles have the same satin finish. In conjunction with my son-in-law, an English gunsmith specializing in barrel work, we repair dents, bulges, exploded barrels, pits, rust, as well as just very thin finishs. I also have hot blueing and browning available. Quality and satisfaction are my greatest product.

Family

My two daughters moved here first from Wisconsin. My parents however, wintered here in south Texas long before we found this wonderful winter land. Summers are not that bad, particularly in the Hill Country where the humidity is lower. I have a son in SC. You may have seen his website about autographs. I have step children in Wisconsin and grandchildren all over, so it seems.
Karie (wife) and I live on a small acreage with eight goats to keep us company.

Work in the Church
| |
Old ministers don't die, they just go out to pastor'. I couldn't stay out of the church very long. I am the Associate Pastor at a little church here in the Hill Country. My duties include assisting in Morning Worship, leading a weekly Study Group, and visitation. I find myself as a member of the staff that I am most useful as a pastor to the the pastor. How I wish I had had such a person in my churches as an active pastor.
I have an interest in writing. For eight years, I wrote a weekly colomn for a weekly newpaper. I still have those articles on disk. Well, someday . . .
